The programme focuses on generating information about dwarfism its related causes of the person living with it, challenges faced and their healthy management related issues thereby using it to influence policies can foster full inclusion of little persons in society.

  1. Education and Awareness

There is a lot of misconception about what Dwarfism is, its causes and individuals affected with it and is the reason why people affected with dwarfism face discrimination and stigma right from home. In Uganda, there is lack of information with regard to dwarfism even among the medical people.

This programme therefore area aims to reduce the discrimination and stigma through education and sensitization of people about what dwarfism is and its causes.

  1. Economic Empowerment

Little persons are faced with a number of challenges especially poverty and economic spheres of life. They still face discrimination even within the disability community, which makes it a challenge to benefit from government programmes that are directed towards improving the living standards of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). This programme therefore aims to improve the livelihoods of little persons through empowering them with skills in enterprise development, helping them start up small businesses and where possible support them in school.

  1. Mobilization and sensitization.

This will serve to; identify the little persons in communities, designing the PAD database, promoting awareness to the public, for effective planning and delivery of services, expand the base of community support for the targeted members.
